Cleaned out my closet last week. 

Tried everything on. 

Got rid of all of the low rise jeans (how was that a thing?).

Man, some of those clothes were OLD.

Literally from another time. Another me. 

When I wasn’t good enough. 

Capable enough. 

Resulting fast enough.

I should’ve been skinnier. Better. Happier.

When I made a size 4 some kind of finish line. 

Even though I felt terrible in those jeans. Hollow. Angry. Sad. 

How I want to bear hug that woman! 

I can now. And while I might not look all that different, I feel different. 

I really like her. I didn’t for a while.

Instead of Come on, faster, more, less, not enough, not enough, not enough. 

I decided to go with, I’m going to take care of you. I’m not perfect and this is messy, but I’m going to take care of you. 

Losing the weight once and for all isn’t about the food you eat. 

Just like finding calm isn’t about rearranging your calendar. 

It’s the inner work that drives the outer results. 

There isn’t better than here. Here is all that matters. Right here. Right now.
